Korea-Myanmar PKI Workshop, Yangon

The Ministry of Communications, Posts and Telegraphs and Korea KCC have cooperated on the project of Myanmar Information Policy Consultation on  the 1st of December 2011 (9:30 Am) at Info-Tech,  Hlaing Universities,Yangon,  a meeting was held between Korea and Myanmar on Information Security. U Tin Win, Chief Executive Officer of Yatanarpon Teleport and Dr. Insoo Kang from KISDI gave an opening speech, followed by discussions from Daw Nilar Aye [Responsible person from YCA] on “ The current status of PKI in Myanmar”, Mr. Jaejung Kim, KICA (Korea Information Certification Authority) on " Overview of National PKI establishment, requirements of certificate authority and PKI standards", and Senior Consultant Kim Mr. Sanggeun Lee (KICA) on "The Development of PKI enabled application". The meeting successfully adjourned at 17:00pm.

CA-CA Interoperability Framework in ASEAN(phaseII) Workshop

Yatanarpon Certification Authority have attended the CA-CA Interoperability Framework in ASEAN(phaseII) organized by ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministers (TELMIN) on the 5th-6th of August. The workshop is intended for the cross border working initiatives to be formed to ensure that the different PKI structures and practices are examined and deliberated to develop a mutually agreed inter-working PKI Framework at international levels. Thailand hosted the ASEAN CA-CA interooperability Project (Phase 1) under ASEAN ICT Fund. It’s objective is to develop an appropriate CA-CA interoperability framework for across PKI domains in ASEAN member states.

Digital Certificates Usage Training

       After a successful launch in Naypyitaw, Yatanarpon Teleport has yet again taken a step further to introduce digital certificates to the ministries by providing practical usage training for digital certificates.
       The training classes took place during the 18th July-19th July 2010 at the e-learning center of the Ministry of Posts, Telegraphs and Communications. There were a total number of 43 trainees, those who were responsible for information technology solutions in their respective ministries. The courses were conducted according to the below schedule and we made sure every one of them were fully aware of the Digital Certificates technology and usage by the end of the course.
